How are your paintings created?
I paint on prepared canvas or panels. They are toned with brown so that the whites or highlights pop out from the start. I use a viewfinder to compose the image on the canvas's proportions.
Using a large brush, I draw the forms and place the darker tones.
Starting with the background, and working toward the front I place shapes of color. Ideally I then work from front to back editing small details and sharpening the image.
After the painting dries, I varnish it and take a high resolution scan.
